At MATI-X, we believe in leaving everything better than we found it. We treat zero waste as a way of life, and believe no one should control another person’s destiny through power or resources. We build workforce solutions that create real opportunity, especially for young people aging out of foster care. Economic empowerment creates freedom and when people can build, earn, own, and grow, they can change their lives and help others do the same.

At MATI-X, we don’t believe in creating dependence. We believe in building capacity.
Because when people have the right foundation, they don’t just change their own lives, they transform entire communities.
We don’t measure success by the number of people we serve. We measure it by the number of entrepreneurs we launch, careers we create, food systems we strengthen, and communities that become more self sustaining because of our work.

Our Approach
At MATI-X, learning doesn’t end in the classroom—it begins there.
Our signature 12 week workforce and entrepreneurship model combines six weeks of business education with six weeks of operating a real business, allowing participants to immediately apply what they learn in a live business environment.
Throughout the program, each participant also completes a 12 week capstone project that demonstrates their ability to solve real world challenges through entrepreneurship and innovation.
We build ventures rooted in food systems because food waste, methane reduction, and access intersect with climate, health, and economic equity. By designing businesses that solve multiple problems at once, we create models that are resilient, fundable, and replicable.
Graduates leave with practical experience, a portfolio of work, and the MATI-X Certification Package, which includes:

• OSHA Workplace Safety Certification
• Dallas Green Business Certification Credit
Participants don’t just graduate with knowledge—they graduate with experience, industry recognized credentials, and the confidence to enter the workforce, launch a business, or continue building their entrepreneurial journey.
